A historic dome is not easily decorated as hip, contemporary and functional catering facility. Siza asked the Arnhem designer Ruud-Jan Kokke to make the interior plan for the T-HUIS. Siza has the necessary workshops in the region where highly skilled craftsmen are working who could contribute to the different interior items. Ruud-Jan visited all Siza’s workshops to see which kind of techniques they manage. Based on that knowledge he has designed a T-HUIS interior line. Ruud-Jan, leading designer of utensils and interior, crosses Siza, an organization for care and service provision to people with a handicap. He harnesses the strength and the unprecedented possibilities people with a handicap have. And then something beautiful arises. The result is furniture and accessories that stand out because of the design, the simplicity and the love with which they are made.
